PRODUCTION PROFILE
The Coffee Cultivation Training and Equipment Assistance Program in Puspo District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, was implemented to enhance the quality and competitiveness of local coffee through the application of environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural technology. The program not only provides coffee cultivation training but also production support in the form of coffee bean sorting machines and coffee powder packaging equipment to improve post-harvest efficiency.
With this assistance, coffee farmers can save time and labor up to three to four times faster compared to manual processes. The sorting machine is capable of processing up to 100 kilograms of coffee beans per day, increasing efficiency while ensuring consistent product quality. Meanwhile, the packaging machine can pack up to 60 kilograms of coffee per week, equivalent to 120 sachet packages.
The coffee training sessions are conducted twice a year, involving coffee enthusiasts as well as business operators in the restaurant and café sectors. The initiative aims to strengthen human resource capacity while fostering collaboration between farmers and industry players.
This program delivers tangible benefits to the Puspo community by improving production quality and operational efficiency. It also enhances the local economy, increases the added value and competitiveness of regional coffee products, and supports the development of skilled human resources capable of competing in the industrial sector sustainably.
