As part of its commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development, PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana (PJUC) officially inaugurated the Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit Development Program in Ponorogo on 18 June 2026. The initiative is part of PJUC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at establishing a community-based productive business unit while supporting the long-term sustainability of community empowerment initiatives in the region.

The Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit was established to convert organic waste, particularly livestock manure, into value-added organic fertilizer. In addition to helping reduce waste, the unit is expected to serve as a sustainable source of funding that supports the continuity of community empowerment programs, including mentoring activities carried out by volunteers. Through this initiative, the benefits of the program are expected to extend beyond the construction phase and continue through the operation of the business unit.

The program is implemented through a collaboration between PJUC, Lazismu, and BankZiska East Java. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing initiatives that not only benefit local communities today but also create long-term value for the future. Revenue generated from the Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit will be reinvested to support various community empowerment activities, ensuring the sustainability of the program over time.

Beyond serving as a funding source for community empowerment initiatives, the Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit also promotes the productive utilization of organic waste. The fertilizer produced can be used to support agricultural and livestock activities, transforming previously underutilized waste into a valuable resource.
